NEKROGOBLIKON - 'The Secret Elephant' (feat. Reel Big Fish) | Official Music Video (2026)

Get ready for a goblin invasion like no other! Nekrogoblikon is back, and they're bringing the heat with their new EP, 'The Boiling Sea,' set to drop on April 17. But here's where it gets controversial: can the band's chaotic blend of humor and heavy metal truly usher in a 'historic era' for them? Time will tell, but one thing's for sure—this release is anything but ordinary.

Today, the goblin metallers unleash the music video for 'The Secret Elephant,' featuring Reel Big Fish. Directed by Brandon Dermer, the video is a wild ride that showcases the band's signature blend of absurdity and musical prowess. Watch it now and see for yourself!

And this is the part most people miss: for the first time in Nekrogoblikon's history, the goblin throne is shared. Former mascot-turned-frontman John Goblikon, also the beloved host of the comedy podcast 'Right Now,' takes center stage with soaring melodic vocals. Meanwhile, extreme metal powerhouse Dickie Allen (of Infant Annihilator) delivers throat-shredding brutality that’s usually reserved for the apocalypse. It’s a dual-vocal onslaught that’s both unexpected and utterly captivating.

John Goblikon shares his thoughts on 'The Secret Elephant': 'I’ve been asked to comment on our new song, and after careful consideration, I’m still not sure what it means. But here’s what I do know: secrets don’t make friends—unless that secret is an elephant you’ve befriended. They say an elephant never forgets, but goblins definitely do. I literally can’t remember where I put my phone! I had it earlier, but then I got distracted by this email asking for a quote about our new song, which is an absolute banger, by the way. Oh, and I still need to find my phone!'

Dickie Allen adds, 'Filming ourselves being goofballs was a blast. Also, has anyone seen my beer?'

Produced and mixed by metal mastermind Jason Suecof (Job for a Cowboy, The Black Dahlia Murder), 'The Boiling Sea' is a high-octane showcase of Nekrogoblikon’s evolution. The EP was first teased by the 2025 double-feature videos for 'Show Me Your Goblin' and 'Fiend,' but this release takes things to a whole new level.

Guitarist Alex Alereza reflects on the creative process: 'We started writing this EP in the middle of constant touring and right after bringing on a new vocal duo. It was uncharted territory for us, both in terms of pace and creativity. But it turned out to be a fantastic experience! We had a blast making this, and we hope fans enjoy these songs as much as we do. For our longtime supporters, we’ve included live recordings of five Nekrogoblikon classics as a special treat.'

The goblin horde isn’t staying underground for long. Nekrogoblikon is hitting the road on an electrifying tour alongside Japan’s genre-defying metal force, Hanabie. This is your chance to witness the ultimate goblin metal spectacle live and scream along to your favorite anthems.

But here’s the real question: Can Nekrogoblikon’s unique blend of humor and heaviness continue to resonate with fans old and new? Or is their shtick starting to wear thin? Let us know your thoughts in the comments—we’re eager to hear your take!
